Sam Lee, PhD (Associate Professor, Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital Cutaneous Biology Research Center) gave a talk at the University of Washington Dermatology Grand Rounds: “Emerging roles of the p53 pathway in immune checkpoint regulation.”
Edna Soriano has been serving as our Fiscal Specialist for the past 13 years and has worked for the University of Washington for 15 years.
Masaoki attended the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students (ABRCMS) 2016 in Tampa, Florida and served as a poster judge for the undergraduate poster competition.
Masaoki met with Dr. Younghoon Kee and gave a talk [Special Seminar at University of South Florida, Department of Cell Biology, Microbiology and Molecular Biology (Tampa, FL)].
Masaoki and Daiki joined the Annual Dermatology Retreat at the Center for Urban Horticulture and presented posters. We got custom fleece jackets at the Retreat.

Dr. Nghiem's Laboratory hosted the 2016 Merkel Cell Carcinoma (MCC) Dinner Meeting for patients and families. Over 260 patients, family members, clinicians, scientists, and trainees gathered. Masaoki and Daiki presented posters at the Meeting.
Masaoki served as a leader for a Biomedical Research Integrity (BRI) Discussion Group at the University of Washington.
